Brent Council's food business search allows you to search for food businesses across Brent to find out the hygiene rating they achieved from their last food hygiene inspection.
What is scores on the doors?
 |
Environmental Health Departments in Local Authorities carry out regular checks on all food premises to ensure the public is protected and that high standards are maintained.
With a few exceptions, star ratings have been allocated to all food premises inspected since 1 January 2006 in all the participating London Boroughs. This rating ranges from no stars for the worst levels of compliance, through to five stars for the very best standards of food safety management.
The scores show how well the inspectors consider each business complies with food hygiene and safety legislation. They also judge the structural conditions of the premises and indicate their confidence in management to handle food safely. Scores apply to the time of the last inspection only, so the rating is simply a snapshot in time and may not represent current conditions at the business.
You can be confident that the scheme is consistent right across London because the scores used to decide the star rating are based on a national code of practice.
